SanCloud BeagleBone® Enhanced Extended WiFi

SanCloud BeagleBone® Enhanced Extended WiFi is based on the open-source hardware design of BeagleBone® Black with upgraded Ethernet speed (gigabit), 512MB DDR3 RAM, a USB hub, built-in sensors and a WiFi/Bluetooth option. Extended temperature grade to allow for -30 to 85 °C operating temperature range.

All SanCloud BeagleBoard® Compatible boards come supplied with an installed copy of Debian software designated by the® Foundation. A powerful, fast and feature-rich Single Board Computer that can perform many of the functions of a desktop PC with on-board sensors, wireless connectivity.

This means the same software images that work on the BeagleBone® Black will also work on SanCloud’s BeagleBone® Enhanced boards. It also ensures you can expect the same high quality as you have come to expect from BeagleBone® and support for numerous Linux distributions.

  • Extended Temperature Range
    Extended temperature grade to allow for -30 to 85 °C operating temperature range.
  • Onboard WiFi & Bluetooth
    The Extended WiFi variant has an onboard WiFi 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi (2×2) a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 2.1/3.0/4.0/5.0-LE using SDIO interface. The design has been kept as close as possible to the original form factor of the BeagleBone® Black.
  • Gigabit Ethernet
    Uprated Ethernet interface to allow connection to Gigabit network without link degradation.
  • Additional onboard USB port
    The power connector and serial connector have been moved to give an additional onboard USB port.
  • Expansion Header + Added USB Ports
    Added expansion header to allow 2 USB ports to be passed up to a Cape.
  • Onboard Sensors
    The Enhanced 1G has the addition of MPU-6050 Six-Axis MEMS MotionTracking™ Device and ST LPS331APTR barometer/temperature sensor. These additions make the Enhanced possible to detect external influences such as vibration, direction, angle, altitude and temperature opening the scope of applications without the requirement for additional hardware or capes.
  • SPI-NOR footprint
    Additional support for SPI-NOR device to enable SPI-NOR booting (with changing of boot option resistors).
