The BeagleBone SDR aim is to make available a low cost SDR base station, that can be used over the Internet. This would allow reception of signals around the world, from your home. A typical application would be to get APT images of foreign countries from NOAA satellites. The project includes design of a BeagleBone cape and implementation of DSP application. The board will feature a wide-band tuner (probably the MAX3544) and a high-speed ADC for IF sampling. For the software part, the GNU Radio toolchain will be used. This is just a first draft, if you’re interested by this project, contribution and new ideas are welcomed !
